Following the Broncos' fifth loss of the season on Sunday, October 28, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas told reporters that he felt he had a fifty-fifty chance of getting traded. For Denver, which reportedly had been looking to deal Thomas for weeks amid the emergence of rookie receiver Courtland Sutton, it's a way to gain draft capital in exchange for what had become an expendable player. This season, he had 36 catches for 402 yards and three TDs in eight games. The Texans will be in Denver Sunday afternoon to take on the Broncos. He has recorded at least 75 receptions and 900 receiving yards in six straight seasons, which is the longest active streak in the National Football League, and has played in 115 consecutive regular season games, which is the longest active streak among all National Football League wide receivers.
The teams will also swap seventh-round picks. Last year, Thomas notched 83 receptions for 949 yards and five scores, showcasing his ability to be a top weapon, even with Trevor Siemian as his quarterback.
Thomas, of course, was on the hook for $8.5 million this season ($4.5 million of which will be picked up by the Texans), and has a non-guaranteed $14 million base salary for the 2019 season.
IBM is buying Red Hat for $34bn
Red Hat has been in business since 1993 and has expanded its offerings from Linux to a number of open source middleware products. The deal values the company at $190 a share, a almost 63 percent premium over where the stock traded on Friday, at $116.68.
Below are grades for both the Texans and the Broncos in the Thomas trade. It was especially evident with Fuller, who scored 11 touchdowns in the 11 games he played with Watson, and was on pace for over 1,000 yards receiving this season.
One of these apparently included wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. Unless he can lead the Broncos to wins in the team's next few games, he may be out of a job soon.
