Lee died on Monday in Los Angeles.
Legendary comic writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, has died.
"I've actually met him once, and he basically influenced my whole life, so yeah, it's very sad", said Kocur, owner of Amazing Stories Comics.
"When the time came to create a teenaged hero for Marvel Comics, I chose to depict him as a bumbling real-life teenager who by some miracle had acquired a super power", Lee wrote in a 1977 column, "How I Invented Spider-Man".

Lee was acutely aware of how much a mark these characters had being an early advocate for social justice working though media.

Lee and Ditko were said to have had a falling-out that led to Ditko's departure from Marvel a few years later.
Lee plotted most of Marvel's superhero comics himself during the '60s, including the Avengers and the X-Men, two of the most enduring.

Lee created superheroes that were endowed with powers but were nevertheless psychologically identifiable human beings with flaws, and that was different. It was Lee who came up with the idea of changing Atlas's name to Marvel. (He later worked as Marvel's publisher and chairman, and eventually became the brand's undisputed figurehead). However, his cameos go beyond just Marvel movies. "I am deeply honored to have been a small part in the Stan Lee constellation". A federal investigation culminated in criminal charges against Lee's partner in the venture, Peter Paul, who pleaded guilty to stock fraud. Lee denied the allegations.
Lee then created POW! He returned in other iterations of Spider-Man, with the latest being Spider-Man: Homecoming. A Spider-Man series ran briefly in 1978. He was also known for making cameos in dozens of Marvel films. The parties settled in 2005, with Lee receiving a reported $10 million.
In 2008, Lee was awarded the National Medal of Arts, the highest government award for creative artists.
Lee's wife of almost 70 years, Joan, died in 2017.
He is survived by his daughter Joan Celia.
