Our sources say the home went up in flames Friday as the fire burned toward Malibu.
The fire started Thursday afternoon and spread quickly to cover about 6,000 acres, fire officials said. At about 9 a.m. local time the Los Angeles County Fire Department PIO said it was "headed to the ocean".
The fire broke out near Thousand Oaks, an area about 40 miles (64 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles where an attacker killed 12 people on Wednesday, prompting the evacuation of 75,000 homes. Finally, some flights began at 5:30 a.m.as the wind died down but within 30 minutes, the wind was picking up again as dawn neared and was expected to be strong until 10 p.m. Friday.

Another fire was burning farther west in Ventura County, also moving toward the ocean.
Rescuers used a bulldozer to push abandoned cars out the way to reach Feather River Hospital and evacuate patients as flames engulfed the building, Butte County Supervisor Doug Teeter told reporters.

Firefighters were scrambling Friday to slow the spread of two large wind-whipped wildfires in Ventura County that already had scorched thousands of acres, destroyed an unknown number of structures, and prompted widespread evacuations. She lived in the home since 2015.
Captain Scott McLean, from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, said the Camp Fire had grown to almost 110 square miles after devouring the town of Paradise.
Malibu and the surrounding areas have been hit by many devastating wildfires over the years.
By 1 a.m. (4 a.m. ET), more firefighters arrived as the flames closed in on Janic's street. A four-mile stretch of the 101 freeway was also closed. No injuries have been reported.
Howling Santa Ana winds were driving the Woolsey and Hill fires.
Borchard Community Center, Rancho Santa Susana Recreation Center, Camarillo Community Center, Thousand Oaks Teen Center, and Goebel Adult Community Center are open in Ventura County.
