In the report, a New Haven police officer wrote that after 1 a.m. on September 26, 1985, a man found bleeding from the ear told officers that another man - identified in the report as Kavanaugh - "threw ice at him for some unknown reason".
Mr Kavanaugh allegedly threw ice at him. Cozzolino, who was suffering from a cut ear, was taken to a hospital; Dudley was taken to the department's old detention center on Union Avenue, according to the report.
"On one of the last occasions I purposely socialized with Brett, I witnessed him respond to a semi- hostile remark, not by defusing the situation, but by throwing his beer in the man's face and starting a fight that ended with one of our mutual friends in jail", Ludington said.
British reggae band UB40 received a burst of unexpected publicity on Monday after reports surfaced that Judge Brett Kavanaugh allegedly got into an altercation at a CT bar in 1985.
Prof Ludington and Mr Dudley are among several of Judge Kavanaugh's classmates who have recently spoken out about his behaviour at Yale.
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday publicly ridiculed a psychology scholar who has accused his Supreme Court pick of sexually assaulting her when they were in their teens, mocking her for not remembering details of the alleged episode even as he and his son expressed fears for American men facing unsubstantiated charges from women.
Ludington said he came forward not because he believes Kavanaugh should be held accountable for everything he did as a young college student, but because he felt he lied about his behavior during the senate hearing.
The blowback to Trump's scoffing at Ford came as lawmakers awaited results of a revived Federal Bureau of Investigation background check, expected imminently, on accusations of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh in high school and college.
Senators await Federal Bureau of Investigation report on allegations against Brett Kavanaugh
Amid McConnell's remarks Wednesday night, Trump tweeted that there was "such enthusiasm and energy for Judge Brett Kavanaugh ". Disquiet about the President's intervention was not limited to those Republican senators who are undecided about Kavanaugh.
But Bazelon had posted a tweet in July in which she called Kavanaugh a "5th vote for a hard-right turn on voting rights and so much more that will harm the democratic process & prevent a more equal society".
Kavanaugh has categorically denied any and all accusations, saying last week this was a targeted attack against him motivated Democrats' resentments.
Hartman says Kavanaugh was part of the investigation but not arrested.
There was some shouting, and then the police showed up, Ludington said.
"We weren't drinking water, so it must've been some sort of mixed drink", Ludington told Cuomo.
"They've been trying to destroy him", Trump said.
"He had a little bit of difficulty, he talked about things that happened when he drank", Mr Trump said. "But I did not drink beer to the point of blacking out", he said. And I do believe that Brett's actions as a 53-year-old federal judge matter. For the fact is, at Yale, and I can speak to no other times, Brett was a frequent drinker, and a heavy drinker.
