The Huawei Mate 20 X will launch on October 26.
The setup essentially includes the triple cameras introduced on the Huawei P20 Pro earlier this year, and adds an ultra wide-angle lens. The regular Mate 20 has a flat screen and a teardrop notch, while the Mate 20 Pro features an iPhone X-like notch (complete with 3D face recognition similar to Face ID) and curved screens like Samsung's Galaxy S and Note phones. The Mate 20 comes with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, whereas the Mate 20 Pro comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Unlike the Apple and Samsung flagships, however, the Mate 20 has Leica-engineered triple cameras on the back and an in- display fingerprint sensor on the Pro model. It also has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.08%. Like the Mate 20 Pro, it will be powered by the company's latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor and come with 8GB of RAM. With the Kirin 980, Huawei promises faster speeds, better power efficiency, and more powerful AI integration. The local price of the Mate 20 RS is now unavailable, but Huawei says it costs $1,695 euros (S$2,696) for the 256GB model and $2,095 euros (S$3,332) for the 512GB model.
Other than that, the Huawei Mate 20 features a 4,000mAh battery, a little less than the Mate 20 Pro's 4,200mAh. Then theres the charging 40W wired SuperCharge and 15W wireless charging to fill the 4,200mAh battery. Huawei also has a gaming accessory that'll turn the phone into a gaming device with a D-Pad and analog stick.
'Let's stop making a god out of Lionel Messi'
Lionel Messi "is not a leader", Diego Maradona said of the current Argentina talisman in an interview in Mexico. A sterner test will take place on Tuesday when they face Brazil in Saudi Arabia - without Messi .
Both phones come with a new SIM tray that supports two SIM cards, or a SIM card and Huawei's new nano-memory storage card that goes up to 256GB.
The Mate 20 has a 16-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 12-megapixel wide angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2 times zoom.
So just like the LG V40, the Mate 20 phones offer three distinct field of vision and focal length for shooting.
"With the Mate 20, Huawei is setting the bar for what users can expect from photography using a smartphone", Cozza said.
Huawei's collaboration with luxury lifestyle brand Porsche Design continues with the Mate 20 series, as Singapore buyers will also be able to purchase a premium version of the Mate 20 Pro, called the Mate 20 RS, in November.
