RTÉ Entertainment met Riz Ahmed and Tom Hardy in London to chat about their new movie Venom where they were asked if they have undertaken any intense preparations for a film role that would be similar to Wahlberg's. It was revealed this week that 30-40 minutes were removed, containing some of Hardy's favorite bits. Hardy was fond of some that displayed the dark comedy aspect and some puppeteering.
The early reviews for Sony's Venom movie are in - and they're not that good.
The social embargo for Venom has lifted, which means those that have seen the film are now free to give their short-form Twitter thoughts on the long-in-the-works Marvel Comics adaptation.

Depending on how fans react to Venom when it hits cinemas this week, we may now have the quote to launch a million think pieces.
Venom IS a slightly ridiculous character (in the way many great comic book figures are), and while it's not clear just how much intent there was, it seems the movie itself is fairly ridiculous too.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer and brought by, among others, Tom Hardy, Venom represents the first card of Sony to develop his game in the Spider-Verse to the movies.
He said: "We went into this hoping to build it, and I went into it hoping to do something for the next several years and I can invest myself in". Riz Ahmed and Tom Hardy did an interview together with ComicsExplained.
"We only ever talked about this movie as being PG-13", Fleisher told Comicbook.com. Is there an R-rated cut sitting there?
Collider: Venom nearly gets away with its nonsensical plot in the end thanks to that Eddie and Venom bromance, but then you're reminded of the major missed opportunity here.
