The Samsung device is one of its kind. Having a variety of differing lenses on your device can make it more suitable to an assortment of shooting conditions. We found a triplet formed by a lens of 24 megapixels with aperture f/1.7, another 8-megapixel wide-angle aperture f/2.4 and a third 5-megapixel 120-degree angle and aperture f/2.2.
The front camera, Samsung didn't close its eyes on the front camera too, the Galaxy A7s front camera features a 24-megapixel camera that also allows you to create stunning pictures with the bokeh effects. Instead, it has a boring name that doesn't do it justice: The Galaxy A7.
The announcement follows a shift in Samsung's smartphone strategy, transitioning from a flagship-centric focus, to a diversified handset portfolio. It also comes with Samsung's Scene Optimizer, to categorize the subject and adjust the color, contrast and brightness to optimize image quality. The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus will sport a similar design but there will be no side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device. On the front, the device will host an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.
The Super AMOLED screen is 6 inches, with a 2,220 x 1,080 resolution, while a Exynos 7885 processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM can be found under the hood.
Components include a 4GB/6GB RAM, an octa-core 2.2GHz processor and 3,300mAh battery.
Imran offers talks, but Modi should be wary of Pakistan's doublespeak
Pakistan remains ready to discuss terrorism. "The matter pertains to the Ministry of Finance but we are open", he said. The two countries have been at loggerheads since the killing of a Kashmiri freedom fighter, Burhan Wani, in July 2016.
Samsung dominated the premium smartphone segment in India in the first half of 2018 with nearly half the market share, said a CyberMedia Research (CMR) report last week. There is one model with 64GB of built-in storage (and support for microSD cards up to 512GB), while the two other options offer 128GB of built-in storage. It comes in blue, black, gold, and pink.
Some other features include Dolby Atmos, Bixby, Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, Bluetooth 5.0 etc.
We do already know, however, that the Galaxy A7 will launch in South Africa in November (no definitive date) with a recommended price tag of R8 499.
More details should be forthcoming on 11th October, when Samsung plans to "reveal" the Galaxy A7 with a bit more pomp and circumstance. Samsung has done a clever thing here by incorporating it on the side of the smartphone, so let us see if future launches will get to see this kind of biometric positioning.
