Unveiled at Germany's IFA consumer electronics festival in Berlin, the XZ3 is £300 cheaper than Apple's iPhone X at £699.
Sony is keen to tout some new user features that it attributes to artificial intelligence implementation, including a "side sense" trigger that opens up a mini menu of frequently used apps and a "smart launch" feature that turns the camera on if you hold the phone up horizontally in front of your face.
Around the front, we'll find a 13MP camera, and the whole device will run on a 3,300mAh battery.
Externally, the front of the phone features a top and bottom bezel - there's no infamous notched displays here - and comes in white, black, green, and red colours. As we've heard a few times before, Sony is opting for a single lens 19MP camera around the back, which uses the company's Motion Eye technology to capture 4K HDR videos and 1080p slow motion videos that record at 960fps. You can now simultaneously use both bokeh and beauty functions in selfie mode, a feature that was not available until now. A power / lock key is included on the right-hand side of this phone, along with a physical camera switch, while the phone's volume up and down buttons sit on the left-hand side of the Xperia XZ3.
Andrew Gillum, Florida's Upset Democratic Candidate, In An Early Tangle With Trump
Gillum, 39, was a favorite among Democrats who call themselves progressives and earned the endorsement of former Vermont Sen. On Twitter earlier on Wednesday, the president slammed Mr Gillum as a "failed" mayor, without citing examples.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 pricing still remains a mystery, but the smartphone will be made available in selected markets globally from end of September and will be among the first devices to ship with the latest Android 9 Pie.
The new Xperia XZ3 has a bigger battery than its predecessor - 3,330mAh, compared to 3,180mAh on the Sony Xperia XZ2. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor and comes with support for wireless charging. You can also take advantage of fast wired charging here, as the Xperia XZ3 supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
Next up is the display and this one's huge.
If you can't keep up with Sony's releases, you're not alone. It will be one of the first phones in the world to launch with Android 9 Pie. It's an 18:9 screen, which makes the XZ3 feel much more compact and easier to handle than the Xperia XZ2 Premium. Overall, the Xperia XZ3 looks a lot like the Google Pixel 2 XL. It is worth noting that the phone's storage can be expanded via a microSD card, in case you missed that part in the "Specifications" section.
