Sky Sports in Italy are reporting that United have been offered £45m and the Barcelona duo of defender Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes in exchange for Pogba.
Pogba endured a hard 2017-18 Premier League season under Mourinho and attracted criticism from the Manchester United boss for his inconsistent performances.
It seems inconceivable that United would let go of their record signing, and Pogba's camp accept it will be hard to complete a deal before the transfer window closes.
The Red Devils re-signed the French star in a club record £89m deal from the Italian champions in 2016.
The interview in particular the report points to is an interview with ESPN he did two weeks ago wherein Mourinho wonders why Pogba's performances in the World Cup for France were far more impressive than those with Manchester United.
Pogba is a great player who is on another team.
James fulfills promise with opening of school in Akron
James, wearing a grey suit and buttoned-down shirt, said even the most successful African Americans face discriminatory attitudes. Michele Campbell, the executive director of James' foundation, teared up Sunday when describing what the new school means.
But this isn't the first time the 25-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been in doubt.
"I don't think it's about us getting the best out of him", Mourinho told ESPN FC.
"The players are in a closed camp, isolated from the external world, from commercial compromises, and every possible influence". However, the deadline in England is 5pm on Thursday, leaving United little or no time to sign a replacement unless they meant to replace him with new £52m signing Fred.
But it appears United have turned down what seems like a low bid and you can't really blame them.
