Iran experts are unsure if the 280 character-limit broadsides are more likely to foreshadow conflict or if they are a way to project strength before engaging Tehran diplomatically. Yet animosity directed at the Iranian leadership is an established part of the administration's broader foreign policy. His message was mostly about supporting Iranians inside the country who have been protesting.
Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif shrugged it off in his own tweet Monday afternoon: "COLOR US UNIMPRESSED: The world heard even harsher bluster a few months ago". And Iranians have heard them -albeit more civilized ones-for 40 yrs. "President Putin is very much involved now with us in a discussion with Bibi Netanyahu on working something out with surrounding Syria and - Syria, and specifically with regards to the security and long-term security of Israel", Trump said last week.
But some of Iran's neighbors who are USA allies clearly support putting pressure on Iran.
Trump in 2012: "Now that Obama's poll numbers are in tailspin watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran". The "eight times" could be a bit of poetic license, but the Washington Post, too, reported previous year that Trump had been interested in a meeting and asked French President Emmanuel Macron to broker it; that didn't work either. "The Trump administration's Iran policy seeks to address the totality of these threats and malign activities and to bring about a change in the Iranian regime's behavior".

In fact, it will be easier to look at than a normal full moon because it won't be as bright due to the lack of sunlight. Because of this, it gives the moon a reddish-orange colour on the moon, which is why it's called a blood moon .
At Monday's press briefing, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked what prompted Trump to post that tweet. Speculation was that this was an attempt to replicate the U.S. strategy in North Korea, where threats were followed with successful diplomacy.
"World should show that we stand for the justice, fairness, peaceful world, mutual cooperation and respect of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and we do not go towards war", said the political leader.
The Republican leader's response was reminiscent of the belligerent tone he took with North Korea past year.
