When asked by Hannity if this is the freedom of speech she wanted to use, Barr replied: "No, I wish I'd worded it better". After apologizing, Barr added: "Plus, I'd tell her she's got to get a new haircut".
The media coverage of the tweet "broke my heart", Barr said, because she has African-American family members. "That's what was in my head".
"If one of you said something like that about me, that might hurt my feelings", Jarrett added.
"So is forgiveness dead in America?" he asked.
"I have apologized a lot. It cost me my life's work".
Despite apologizing at times, Barr also said on the Fox interview that she felt like she had apologized enough for her actions.
"Plus, I'd tell her she's got to get a new haircut". Barr joked. "No, I'm kidding".
UK Supreme Court rejects woman's appeal in divorce case
Lord Wilson indicated that the law would allow Mrs Owens to divorce in 2020, when the couple had been separated for five years. Past year the Court of Appeal in London upheld that ruling, and five Supreme Court justices have now also ruled against her.
It was hyped as the superstar comic's first TV interview after ABC dropped one of the highest-rated shows of the last TV season within hours of her posting back in May.
Barr again said that she was stunned when ABC first contacted her about the tweet.
The rambling interview also covered Barr's mental health, her Jewish upbringing, and her views on Trump, who the actress has said she voted for in the 2016 presidential elections.
Barr paused. "Well, we can't talk about that", she said. And people think that I did that and it just kills me. "I said put it out there", she said.
Her explanations have shifted nearly since the controversy began.
"How would you like it to be sitting in a room with 25 people who think Trump is the worst thing that's ever happened to the United States", she said of her time on ABC's Roseanne redux. "I made a mistake and I paid the price for it", Barr told Hannity. And in the eyes of most Hannity viewers, Barr is probably forgiven tonight-if not applauded.
ABC has since confirmed it will broadcast a spin-off called "The Connors" - featuring cast members including John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf - after Barr relinquished any creative or financial involvement.
