It's much easier to comfortably, and quickly, move across the keys and to type faster.
BlackBerry KEY2 price has been set at $649 (roughly Rs. 43,800) in the USA and will start shipping globally sometime later this month.
The BlackBerry Key2 is both slimmer and lighter than the BlackBerry KeyOne, has a larger 4.5-inch display that's almost edge-to-edge, and has a larger physical keyboard. We take a look at the differences in features, specifications of the two BlackBerry phones. And now, most smartphones are touchscreen-only for typing. The Key2's keyboard has a matte finish, compared to the glossy one on the original KEYone.
The keys also have a noticeable bevel to them, so you can discern the boundaries more easily, and there's clickier feedback when you press them, too.
The BlackBerry Key2 might appear for the first time at an official event, but the full specs sheet already leaked yesterday, including 4G bands, dimensions, preloaded apps, etc.
All the improvements haven't been saved for the exterior, either. When it comes to wireless connectivity, the KEY2 includes support for LTE Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66. Both the variants will feature 6GB of RAM.
Warriors forward Iguodala has 'good chance' to play Finals game three
Although it took until Game 5 for the Warriors to secure the series , that shot is seen by many was the one that won it. That opened the door for Jordan Bell to play 12 minutes where he scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds.
BlackBerry has incorporated improved camera sensors in the device and the phone now sports 12MP + 12MP dual rear camera lens capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. There's a dual rear camera setup on the KEY2, up from the single rear camera on the KEYone. The bottom line is that the BlackBerry KEY² is a much better-looking phone than its predecessor. The phone has "device security built in from the start", according to the company, with tools like hardware root of trust and a secure bootloader, quite literally encrypting the phone to the T. The DTEK app stays put, but this year, BlackBerry is introducing a new locker that lets you password/fingerprint protect your apps and content from others.
The Key2 is the follow-up to last year's KeyOne.
Other than that, there's relatively little changed to Android 8.1 Oreo, though the BlackBerry Hub and BlackBerry Launcher are included.
TCL Communication, a global smartphone manufacturer and BlackBerry-brand licensing partner, has announced plans to debut the BlackBerry KEY2.
On the BlackBerry KeyOne, each key was customizable, meaning you could set it up as a shortcut to access from your home screen. That's a bit steep, considering the KeyOne launched for $100 less. It was arguably the first proper BlackBerry phone running Android and one that delivered in all the key areas.
Some customers will surely be put off by the price hike, but then again, the Key2 is the only option for physical keyboard devotees.
