Lyon have denied claims Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign star midfielder Nabil Fekir and dubbed the rumours "false" after it was reported he completed a medical with the Premier League giants on Friday.
The summer transfer window is open and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we'll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe.
It was claimed on Thursday night that Fekir is on his way to Anfield and the English club moved swiftly as a Liverpool doctor flew to France to make sure the medical went through.
Klopp is looking to finally fill the void left behind by Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona in January and Fekir caught the eye after providing 23 goals and 8 assists last season.
Liverpool have been proactive in the transfer market already, with Naby Keita set to join from RB Leipzig having agreed a deal a year ago, while Fabinho - a regular opponent of Fekir in Ligue 1 with Monaco - has also signed.
"Olympique Lyonnais categorically denies the false information disseminated by many media about the transfer of Nabil Faulkner to the Liverpool club", read the Lyon statement.

Alongside Sane, Bayer Leverkusen duo Bernd Leno and Jonathan also miss out, as does Freiburg striker Nils Petersen. These are four players who had merited their place in the provisional squad through their performances.
Lyon categorically denied as "fake news" media reports suggesting that a transfer would take place within hours which would bring 24-year-old Fekir to Anfield once he has finished duty for France at the World Cup in Russian Federation.
But now there's a problem, because Lyon have just tweeted saying that the rumours of them agreeing to sell Fekir to Liverpool are false.
Liverpool fans can be encouraged somewhat, however, by the fact that Lyon have done exactly this before.
It's certainly a fascinating situation and it's going to be interesting to see how things progress over the next 24 hours.
Lyon released the following statement on Friday morning through their official social media channels.
