Babchenko apologized to his wife "for the hell she had to go through in the past two days". Babchenko's wife, he wrote, had called to say that the journalist had been shot in their home and was taken to the hospital.
Another praised the Ukrainian-led operation for purportedly finding the killer who received orders to murder of Babchenko - the same reason Ukrainian security services gave for the stunt. He said he was approached by the Ukrainian Security Service, or SBU, a month ago.
Regime media outlets have released the following video purporting to show Babchenko alive and well.
