Fitbit intends for this to help budding developers improve the visibility of their apps, essentially making available its entire Versa and Ionic user community located across the world. Inside of the Fitbit app, you'll find tracking for female health, as well as quick replies for messaging on Versa and Ionic devices. Add that together with the fact that Fitbit already has 25.4 million active users, and there's great potential for this to have a huge impact on feminine medical research. The app also offers an educational aspect, providing access to the Fitbit blog where women can learn about fertility, ovulation, the menstrual cycle, and common misunderstandings. Quick replies on Android is now rolling out to Ionic and Versa users.
Elsewhere the update also brings a number of Quick Replies to messages, but there's only five pre-written replies.
Some of the default replies include options like "Yes", "Sounds good!" and "Can't talk now, will replay later".
Fitbit also debuted the online simulator, a program which allows developers to build apps and clock faces specifically for the Versa and Ionic - without actually owning either device.

All of your data in one place: View holistic data to reveal connections between your cycle and other stats in the Fitbit app, such as activity, sleep, and weight trends.
If you've opted in to this service, you will see a new female health tracking box on the dashboard grid in the app. Tap to answer a few questions about the length of your cycle and last period and start logging.
The functionality allows you to log information regarding your menstrual cycle and details surrounding the cycle, such as symptoms and cramps.
And it gets smarter as you log. Fitbit says it takes about two cycles for the app to really get to know your cycle to make more accurate predictions. There, you can see where you are in your cycle, when your next period is expected and check your estimated fertile windows. When they launched, you weren't able to respond to any notifications that came through to your wrist, even though that's something most other smartwatches can do.
