Law enforcement agencies across Acadiana are participating to get unused or expired drugs out of homes.
The permanent prescription drop box at WC will provide an ongoing opportunity for the Weatherford community to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths by ensuring that unused or expired prescription drugs do not find their way into the wrong hands. Drop off will be on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.at the Cedar Falls Police Department (220 Clay St.).
"Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse", he said.
