Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russia's President Vladimir Putin shake hands at a press conference after their second summit meeting in six months. "The two leaders agreed to stay in close contact about the situation", the White House said, providing no further details.
The United States and its allies have blamed the Syrian government for the attack which reportedly killed dozens, although Damascus vehemently rejects the allegations and insists they are part of a wider effort to undermine the gains made by the pro-government forces against militants in Eastern Ghouta.
The local civil defense agency blames the Bashar al-Assad regime forces for the attack.
In recent months, however, Ankara has been working closely with Moscow, a major ally of the Assad government, on Syrian issues.

Iran has been Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's most supportive ally against insurgents throughout the conflict. Syria then shot down an Israeli F-16 fighter jet , the first Israeli plane lost to enemy fire in decades.
In its readout of the Erdogan-Putin talks, the Kremlin said that "concern was expressed about the current escalation in and around Syria based on the overblown speculation concerning the purported use of chemical weapons in Douma".
Cavusoglu added by saying that the establishment of a permanent solution such as the Astana and Sochi processes must be put to work effectively and the country must go in elections in a very short time under the U.N.'s roof. If there's any Russian (or Iranian or North Korean) dense enough to still keep assets in these United States, maybe they don't really care about them.
Despite the resolution, the Assad regime last month launched a major ground offensive backed by Russian Federation aimed at capturing Eastern Ghouta's last opposition strongholds.
