It is being said that Apple will be building this tech right on the screen instead of using a motion gesture controller on the bezels, something similar to what Samsung does to implement Air Gestures in its smartphones.
We suppose gesture control could be handy for any virtual or augmented reality headsets Apple may be working on with the idea that a future iPhone will act as the brains of the system. The technology could be useful for augmented reality, which is where Apple has put in a lot of effort in the past couple of years. The curved iPhone display has been a rumor for a while now as its been in development but, now it is expected to be around two or three years away from implementation. Even Apple's new iPhone X, which introduced new facial recognition technology and a almost all-screen front, failed to universally impress reviewers. As evidenced below, and noted by iDropNews, the iPhone concept "is narrower than the iPhone 8, ensuring it's comfortable to type with only one hand; and its curved design is more pleasant to hold when speaking on the phone". Of course, they've never done an inverted curved screen before, but considering Apple's doing it, they may follow suit.
According to Bloomberg, these displays will gradually curve inward from top to bottom, where as every iPhone model in the past, with the exception of the iPhone X, have used flat displays. Sources also stated the technology is still in its nascent stages and Apple can still decide to shelve the project.
Commonwealth Games: Horton ends Australia's long wait for 400 freestyle champion
That broke the mark of 3:30.65 the Aussies - including the Campbells and McKeon - clocked at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016. England took the bronze, more than eight seconds behind Australia.
The second experimental feature in Bloomberg's report relates to Apple designing iPhones with a display that curves inwards in the middle.
Samsung has been toying with curved screen technology for a while now and it seems as if Apple is about to get onto the bandwagon too.
It's no secret that Apple isn't the first to offer many innovations.
As the facility is better integrated into user experience, Apple will have done it once again by sheer hard work and the innovative edge which it possesses in scads.
