Apple is said to have plans to introduce three new iPhones this year, including a phablet sized iPhone X successor and a much smaller budget option. The company is reportedly working on a gold colour for the new handset.
Despite the media hype surrounding the iPhone X, Apple saw a disappointing debut for its iPhone sales last quarter. The big iPhone will also include Face ID to unlock the device, and authorize mobile payments.
Apple is planning to launch its biggest iPhone yet this year.
The report further shed lights on the fact that the upcoming iPhone will come with the same design as that of the Apple iPhone 8 Plus. The big phone would join two other models - a standard-sized iPhone X upgrade and a low-priced, LCD iPhone.
US Seeks to Isolate North Korea With Latest Round of Sanctions
Pence foreshadowed these sanctions during a stop in Japan two weeks ago before he visited the games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. President Donald Trump has called the new set of sanctions the "largest ever" targeting North Korea .
The big iPhone X with a 6.5-inch display will sport a resolution of 2688×1242 pixels. But the iPhone X was a complete reinvention with a bezel-free screen, face-stealing tech, improved AR functionality, and a $1,000 price tag.
"The second new iPhone would essentially be an update of the current 5.8" iPhone X. Both of the new iPhones would have Apple's A12 processor and iOS 12. These larger models could ship in a new gold color on top of the black and silver options now available for the iPhone X. Though it's nowhere cheap, yet it is $200-$300 below the iPhone X. The phones will have an updated operating system, which will include upgraded augmented reality capabilities, deeper integration of the Siri digital assistant, digital health monitoring and the ability to use Animojis in FaceTime, the report said. Apple also plans a gold-colored device to help boost sales in Asia, Bloomberg reported. The OLED screen will be replaced with an LCD version, saving on costs all the way around. Consumers quickly discovered that for a mere $100 more they could buy a 5s, which had an aluminum body, a slow-motion video camera and a fingerprint scanner. This design will allegedly work because of the edge-to-edge design being used.
