Built on the Indian government-supported Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Tez is a simple and secure mobile app for digital payments, built with the goal of making digital payments as easy as using cash. It also allowed users to pay to the retailers who had UPI based payment gateways. The company added, "Today's rollout of bill payments on Tez comes with an exciting new offer". This will enable you to view previous payments grouped by biller, and you will be able to manage bills from multiple accounts.
Clients will see various billers relying upon their city and area, and clients can also look for them by name.
The bill payments option is hidden under the New Payment option on Google Tez application. The new bill pay feature will include major utilities like Reliance Energy, BSES and DishTV, and in total will cover all states and major metros in India. When clients have found their biller, they have to enter the number related to their account to connect it to Tez and give it a simple name to recall. Google is also allowing users to select a biller by name.
